![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() About Me![]() I am a nature and wildlife photographer based in the north west of England. I am passionate about our natural world and my vision is to create wildlife images that inspire the viewer to seek a richer and closer connection with nature. From my early childhood, surrounded by the rich wildlife of the North Yorkshire Dales, I have always thought of myself as being an integral part of our natural world, and not alienated from it. I believe our intentions are communicated through the energy of our being, if we convey feelings of trust and respect then nature will reciprocate those feelings towards us, and our spirits will unite. Many, choose to ignore the rich diversity that nature has given us, instead they prefer to disregard it or at worst destroy it. I hope that through my wildlife photography and writing I can increase the public’s awareness of the fragile and precious nature of our environment, and promote the concept, that our natural resources and wildlife are something we must protect, and allow to flourish for future generations to enjoy.Through my photography I try and convey this connectivity with our natural world and bring my own distinctive vision and technical ability to it. I have had worldwide recognition for my photography achieving acceptances and awards in nature and wildlife photographic salons in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. I have recently worked with the US Fish and Wildlife Services at Bear River, Utah to provide some of the images displayed in their new education centre and with Blackpool City Council to promote their parks and green spaces. There are many myths and legends surrounding nature and wildlife that provide me with a wealth of inspiration, as do the Native American and Pagan Cultures with their unique relationships with the natural world. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did making them. Thank you for visiting, and may our natural world give you the inspiration, peace and tranquility it has given me. Iain Iain S Byrne, Wildlife Photography "The Circle has healing power. In the Circle, we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity. The Hoop of Life is also a circle. On this hoop there is a place for every species, every race, every tree and every plant. It is this completeness of Life that must be respected in order to bring about health on this planet."
